One of the major achievements of Tanzania’s economic diplomacy is continuing to attract International partners in trade and investment, with Singapore being among the countries increasingly showing confidence in the Tanzanian economy.
This was evident today at the Tanzania-Singapore Business and Investment Forum held at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre (JNICC), attended by His Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, and His Excellency Tharman Shanmugaratnam, President of the Republic of Singapore.
The forum was an important opportunity to strengthen economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries by bringing together government leaders, businessmen, investors and private sector institutions from Tanzania and Singapore.
In furtherance of the mission of promoting Tanzania as a hub for trade and investment in Africa, the Tanzania National Chamber of Commerce (TNCC) actively participated in the forum and emphasized the opportunities available in the manufacturing, agriculture, transport and logistics, technology, energy, financial services, tourism as well as value-added activities.
The platform has also opened a new chapter in cooperation through business-to-business (B2B) meetings, strategic institutional partnerships and strengthening ties between the Tanzania National Chamber of Commerce (TNCC), Zanzibar National Chamber of Commerce and the Singapore Business Federation.
This partnership aims to build a strong bridge of trade and investment between Africa and Asia, increase the flow of capital, technology and innovation, as well as accelerate mutually beneficial economic development.
Tanzania is Open for Business and Investment.
